You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

So many caregivers tell us the same thing: caring for a loved one with dementia is one of the most meaningful roles they’ve ever had, but also one of the hardest. The long days, constant worry, and emotional toll can leave even the most devoted caregivers exhausted.
That’s where respite comes in. Respite isn’t only about “taking a break” it’s about protecting your health and well-being so you can keep showing up with patience, love, and energy. It’s time to breathe, to take care of your own appointments, to reconnect with friends or family, or simply to rest without guilt.
At DayBreak Senior Services, you can step away knowing your loved one is safe, supported, and engaged in activities designed specifically for people living with dementia or cognitive decline. And when you return, you’ll come back not only refreshed, but better able to continue this important journey of caregiving.
What “Dementia-Specific” Means
DayBreak is Northern Utah’s only licensed Adult Day Health Facility designed specifically for people living with dementia. This means:
- Trained staff who understand dementia and know how to support communication, behaviors, and changing needs.
- A licensed Recreational Therapist who tailors our program to each participant’s individual needs, strengths, and interests.
- Evidence-based activities and engagement designed specifically for people living with dementia or cognitive decline, helping to foster purpose, joy, and connection.
- Safe and supportive environment with routines and adaptations that reduce stress and foster comfort.
- Focus on the caregiver, too, by providing reliable respite so you can step away with peace of mind.
